A player’s touch and feel for the ball is vital in soccer and juggling is one of the best exercises to improve these skills. By juggling, a player learns how a ball reacts to different parts of the foot and body. Through juggling, players gain confidence in their skills which translates into more control and adventurous play in matches. Juggling also helps to develop body control, core strength and balance while providing a good work out.
One of the main advantages of juggling as a development activity is that all it takes is a ball and a small bit of space. It is an ideal activity for improving ball skills. Above all though, juggling is fun!!
So if you are not yet in the club, grab your ball, find a bit space (away from anything breakable) and get started.
