The WCSC Vipers (U9B Blue) put their fangs into the competition this weekend and won the top U9 division of the Forest Park Invitational Tournament. The Vipers were unstoppable and outscored their opponents 25-4! The Vipers demonstrated some fine passing and possessed the ball very well which resulted in each of the Vipers scoring at least one goal in the tournament. The Vipers slithered past TFA in the finals by a score of 3-0. Thanks to all of the Viper families for your support!
The GU13 Red Dragons, coached by Mike Dwyer won the top division of the Forest Park Star Invitational this weekend. The team went 3-0-1. Congratulations girls!!
A storm blew in at the 20th Annual Halloween Classic in Fishers, Indiana this past weekend. Warren County GU13 Black Storm advanced to the finals and took the Championship in their division. The team was lead by a strong defensive effort and great goalie play to allow NO GOALS in 4 games. The possession game was in full swing as the Storm played keep away and wore teams down to create great passing lanes and scoring opportunities where they finished with 9 goals scored by 7 different players during the tournament. For the 4th consecutive tournament this season, the WCSC GU11 White Storm advanced to the finals. For the 3rd time this season, the GU11 White Storm won their division. This past weekend, the team traveled to Fishers, Indiana and participated in the 20th annual Halloween Classic. The Storm were ghoulishy great on defense and spooktacular on offense in their 4 games. They scored 16 goals and gave up 2 goals while playing in the Ghosts (top) division. Many thanks to the parents for supporting their daughters and creating fun times for our team. Congratulations to the GU12 Black team on clinching the 6th division title after another convincing win in their final league game of the season. After getting off to a slow start with a loss in their first CUSL game, the Black Widows went on to win all of their remaining league games, giving up only one goal in the process.
In fact, that loss was their only one of the entire season and the team is now unbeaten in their last 13 games in all competitions, with clean sheets recorded in 9 of these games.
The Black Widows have continuously improved throughout the season and thoroughly deserve the title of CUSL Champions in addition to their Fall Ball championship.
The WCSC GU11 White Storm team won the MidFest Soccer Classic Red Division.
They went 4-0-0 and outscored their opponents 18-5 while playing in the tall un-cut grass at Smith Park.
The team had a balanced approach as 9 different girls scored for the storm.
The girls defeated the BSA Celtic Blue 7-4 in the Finals.
Congratulations to our U9 Girls Blue team which has captured both the CSA Dog Days and Mead CUP Championships this pre-season, going 8-0 in the process. Team is coached by our Youth Director, Mike Dwyer. Great Job girls!
The GU13 Red team won the Silver Division of Dog Days scoring 14 goals and giving up 2. After a rain stoppage the Dragons broke a 0-0 tie with Kolping scoring two goals in the final 9 minutes to win the championship. The team is coached by Mike Dwyer.
The WCSC GU11 White Storm team won the Dog Days Silver Division. Playing 8v8 for the first time, they went 3-0-1 and outscored their opponents 10-3. The team needed to win their 3rd game to get the finals and scored the game winner with 90 seconds left. The White Storm defeated Kolping 5-0 in the Championship game.
